Genesis: The Plan

We decided to hire Larry Wade, owner of Wade Marine Construction to help with our creation.  He is a soft-spoken man who has been building on this lake front since 1984, the year it was formed.  His quite manner, smell of cigarette smoke, and even his physical appearance all remind us of Brenda's dad Arvid.

Here you can see by comparison with the neighbor's retaining wall the extent of the erosion.  Unfortunately, our neighbor began construction before we did and set the legal precedent governing the length we could encroach into the lake.  I had to shorten the planned length of the pier leading to our boat house.

Several trees marked with orange flag tape have been "saved".  We'll see in several years if they really survive.

Sharing my vision with Larry so that no more trees will succumb to the lake.
