The Holidays

This year our holiday celebration was considerably different from years past. I had to work over Christmas. Still, we managed to squeeze our family fun time into the schedule wherever possible. Brenda, the boys, and I watched "True Grit" on Thursday evening before I left for a trip. We also opened a gift or two before Christmas - the boys each received an iPhone.

Brenda, Cullen, and Todd decided to spend Christmas Day with Ashley and her family at Jamie's father's house in Plano. Here Cullen is preparing one of his Pumpkin Cheese Cake to take along.

Cullen found a quite place under Mike and Nelwyn's piano after eating a delicious turkey dinner (and its subsequent tryptophan overload).

After I returned home we opened more gifts and enjoyed the company of one another.

Brenda received a new camera and has already put it to good use.

I took this photo on Christmas day while flying over the Rockies on my way from Denver to Oakland. I hope everyones Christmas celebration was joyous and memorable. May your next year be even better.

Erin and her family flew into Dallas following their visit in Utah. We've enjoyed their visit this week, but they are returning to their home in Austin later today. I also have to return to work today.

We've continued several family traditions this year (the family newsletter, the dinner at Babe's Chicken, etc.), and we've made some changes. We look forward to the new year and all it brings.
